Reporting directly to Assistant General Manager – Hospitality Operations, the incumbent is accountable for driving the expansion of our Hospitality portfolio by identifying new business opportunities and strategies, overseeing project development and ensuring the successful operation of new properties

Responsibilities:
  • Identify new investment opportunities and develop strategic partnerships with property owners, investors and developers to support business initiatives; Define and study new hotel management contract opportunities for the Group operating hotel brands
  • Lead the planning and execution of new projects from conception through to launch, complying with all financial, brand and quality standards
  • Perform market research to stay ahead of industry trends and leverage competitive insights to position properties advantageously; Develop and manage project budgets, monitor expenditures and adjust strategies to maximize financial performance
  • Manage all aspects of compliance, ensuring each project adheres to local, regional and national laws, including securing necessary permits and licenses
  • Collaborate with operations teams to establish management systems and standards for new properties, ensuring the alignment of our company's operational excellence
  • Coordinate with internal departments such as marketing, sales and HR to prepare for the successful launch of hospitality operations; Oversee recruitment and training of key personnel
  • Provide regular updates to senior management on project progress, challenges, milestones and propose recommendations and solutions for performance variances against plan
  • Assist in other business expansion initiatives as assigned by the Group

Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Hotel/Hospitality Management, Finance or related discipline. Master’s degree or with professional qualifications such as CPA or CFA will be an advantage
  • Minimum 5 to 7 years of relevant work experience with track records in hospitality development projects and hotel openings in Hong Kong, PRC or Asia Pacific regions
  • Knowledgeable in asset acquisition including but not limited to regulatory requirements, market standards, valuation, marketing/investment principles, preferably in the hospitality related sectors
  • Expert knowledge of hotel operations and management with strong negotiation skills set on hotel management contract terms and clauses with property owners
  • Demonstrate financial management experience with strong analytical skills, including the development of financial models, budgets, resources management and perform effective market and financial analysis
  • Robust project management capabilities by successfully managing multiple internal and external initiatives/projects in a deadline-driven environment
  • Deep understanding in the Chinese market and local cultural nuances to ensure business integration and effective operations
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; Capable of engaging with stakeholders across diverse backgrounds effectively
  • Strong presentation skills with excellent oral and written in English and Mandarin
  • Frequent travel to new hotel sites, industry events, and meetings within China and possibly internationally is required
  • This candidate will be hired under one of our Group entities in PRC
