Assistant Manager - Membership & Event (Ref: MCL/AMME/W)

Responsibilities:
    • Reporting to the Manager - Membership and Marketing to plan, organize and manage events, marketing and branding campaigns with an objective to bring membership sales and/or business revenue to Lantau Yacht Club
    • Responsible for membership recruitment and management and produce regular analytical reports on event and membership activities
    • Identify and solicit potential clients, partners and opportunities for organizing events and ultimately acquiring new members
    • Assist in the overall planning and coordination of events, such as conferences, meetings, boat shows and corporate events
    • Interact with clients, partners, stakeholders and event participants and maintain positive relationships with them
    • Assist in creating and managing event budgets, tracking expenses, and ensuring that events are delivered within budgetary constraints
    • Perform various administrative duties, such as maintaining event databases, preparing correspondence, managing event calendars, and organizing documentation related to events
Requirements:
    • Degree holder, preferably in Event Management or Hospitality Management or Business Administration, Communications, or related disciplines
    • 5 - 6 years relevant work experience, preferably with hospitality and club experience
    • Strong understanding of the marketing mix, event planning & execution and how it relates to the marina/ industry in particular
    • Proficiency in both spoken and written English and Chinese
    • Team player with excellent analytical, organizational and communication skills
    • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships with clients, colleagues, and suppliers.
    • Responsive, approachable, and dedicated to meeting the needs of members, partners and organizers
    • Good PC skills (Microsoft PowerPoint, Word, Excel and Chinese Word Processing)
    Working Location: Discovery Bay
