Reporting to the Group Financial Controller, the incumbent will be responsible for supporting the Group’s major property portfolio/projects and businesses in Southeast Asia (SEA) - Thailand, Japan & Philippines, supervising the Group Finance & Accounting (SEA) team in Hong Kong, local F&A teams and local outsourced accounting firms in delivering the finance accounting & tax services and ensure these business units comply with HKRI Group’s finance policies and finance operations are in the best interests of the Group.

Responsibilities:
  • Oversee and supervise the Group Finance & Accounting (SEA) team for Thailand, Philippines and Japan business in:
      • Month-end closing; Prepare monthly reports, annual budgets, interim review and annual audits of these business units
      • Prepare monthly sub-group consolidation account of these entities/business units for the Group consolidation purpose
      • Ensure SEA business units comply with Group Finance & Accounting policies
      • Set up the finance & accounting, tax service works for new overseas projects/new business ventures
      • Monitor closure of inactive and dormant entities for completed projects
  • Group Finance Policies and Procedures:
      • Assist Group Financial Controller to review and update Group Finance Policies and Procedures, including CA/CER policy and limits of authority for approving commitments and spendings

Requirements:
    • Degree or above in accounting, finance or related discipline
    • Qualified member of a professional accounting/tax body
    • 6 - 8 years of relevant working experience with at least 3 years at supervisory level, preferably in real estate or other sizable organizations
    • Local/regional tax experience in South East Asian countries is highly preferred
    • Sound knowledge in handling full set of accounts and tax matters of SEA companies
    • Well versed with SAP Accounting System is advantage
    • Experience in Company finance and accounting policy set-up, implementation and monitoring is preferred
    • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail
    • Demonstrate good leadership and team-building skills, along with a positive can-do mentality
    • Good communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with colleagues across the organization
    • Good command of both spoken and written English and Chinese/Mandarin
